Pee Wee interviewed at the A.V. Club

The Onion's A. V. Club interview's Paul Reubens. Apparently he has 2 Pee Wee movies coming up. They sound completely different from each other and both sound like they're gonna be great.

NPR Paul Reubens interview (AKA Pee Wee Herman)

NPR interviewed Paul Reubens recently on their Fresh Air program. Here's their summary:

The complete 45-episode series of the TV show Pee-Wee's Playhouse is now out on DVD. Reubens originally created the Pee-Wee character at the Los Angeles improv group called The Groundlings. Pee-Wee's Playhouse went on the air in 1986. It ran on CBS for 5 years, garnering 22 Emmys.

Even though it's NPR there's still a KS or two.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I stumbled upon one of Tim Burton's upcoming movies on IMDB today. I'm guessing that its a remake of the classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. I can't picture Johnny Depp as Wonka, Gene Wilder was just too perfect for the role IMO.

Another thing that I discovered was that Dottie (from Pee Wee's Big Adventure) is Buttercup (the Powerpuff Girl). IMDB is amazing.

On this very night, ten years ago, along this very stretch of road in a dense fog just like this. I saw the worst accident I ever seen. There was this sound, like a garbage truck dropped off the Empire State Building...And when they pulled the driver's body from the twisted, burning wreck. It looked like this...

This is one of my favorite parts of the tour. Say hello to our residents, Pedro and Inez. Pedro is working on an "adobe." Can you say that with me? [Tour group responds, "Adobe."]
