Seti@Home is
transitioning over to the all new
BOINC system. There are
new clients which are allegedly better than the "Classic" seti@home clients. One advantage they have is that they are self-queuing so there's no need to run a
proxy server. Some of the new/updated features the BOINC system has include:
user profile,
teams (migrated from "Classic"),
pending credit,
stats for your different computers, and of course
results. Overall
BOINC sounds pretty cool. Although it's been running for about an hour now and it hasn't done any work, probably because the Berkeley servers are getting hammered with new data unit requests. (If someone happens to come across an x86_64 client let me know!)
